1. Learn to write well. Writing is a key college skill that you will need no matter what major you decide on. Give a little extra time to learning how to communicate effectively and the whole college experience will be easier.2. Get to know your professors. The best way to cope with large class sizes is to get to know your teachers and teaching assistants personally. They will be an excellent resource if you are having trouble with the material.3. Don’t take too many credits. The maximum amount is too many for most people, especially if you are working as well as going to school. Take less than the max and make sure you have time to relax and enjoy the college experience.4. Learn to study effectively. Studying for college classes is drastically different than studying for high school classes. Talk to your teachers and fellow classmates to learn about good study tips. 5. Find time for yourself. Whether this means exercising or hanging out with friends, you will be a more efficient learner and studier if you spend some of your time relaxing and recharging your batteries.
